Using a Consultative Approach in Network Marketing Leads
Underdeveloped skills is the number one reason for failure in network marketing - not lack of network marketing leads, which I have discovered is the biggest challenge faced by network marketers.
I questioned this underdeveloped statistic at first, because I too had once been so overcome with frustration in finding a hot prospect, even though I worked at it relentlessly. I couldn't imagine the reason was lack of education.
Simply put, it was.
Part of the education process for me, was how to interact with my prospect using the consultative approach. This is absolutely critical for success.
Using the consultative approach when working with your network marketing leads allows you to determine what your prospects needs and wants are, before you ever attempt to solicit them. A series of questions must be addressed to get to know them better, and find a solution for their needs.
For example, let's say your network marketing product is Xango. You will first want to ask your prospect these basic questions:
Are you happy with your current state of health? Do you have any issues with allergies? What is your budget or limitations on spending to solve this issue or problem? Are you interested to learn more about a product that is having success curing or limiting the side effects of this problem?
Now you have some solid information to form a solution for your prospect using the consultative approach.
To make a sale, you need to create a win-win situation. Meaning the win (the sale) cannot be just for you, but that the prospect must win too.
If you are having trouble finding prospects, get an education on how to market yourself. I'm not talking about putting a notice up in the church bulletin, or posting a notice on the community bulletin board.
I'm talking about a sound marketing program, of which The Renegade Network Marketer leads us to. People who purchase The Renegade Network Marketer are either in network marketing or looking for a network marketing opportunity.
By studyng The Renegade website (created only for those who purchase the wildly successful e-book), I discovered some of the free ways to promote myself, such as Article Marketer, wherein you can write articles and submit for free publishing on the Internet, with a link coming back to your own personal website.
Or you can start to blog, simply an exchange of dialog on the Internet, with some good, quality information on your topic, driving your prospect back to you. This is something that is free and easy to learn, and yes, you guessed it, training resources through The Renegade System and don't forget about Renegade University , where you can get step by step tutorial courses for free, on how to use Ann Sieg's Renegade System and learn how to put a real marketing system in place on the Internet.
If you are on a budget, but determined to build your business successfully, there are so many options. Get started with immersing yourself in The Renegade website and take advantage of the training and resources to educate yourself.
No one can do this except you.
Building a successful home based business or network marketing business, is a lot of time and hard work. Don't let someone fool you, and think that five hours a week of just interacting with friends and family and sharing your product will do it for you.
Dig in and establish your hours of study time to learn to market your business, and work time in front of prospects. You need to carve out time for both.
Are you looking for more direction on building a home based business? Go to my new website, and allow me to walk you through the process of building a successful and profitable home based business. This is a work of love and will constantly be evolving.
I'm passionate about this industry. But I'm disappointed in the number of people who follow the hype and get rich quick schemes.
I've created my personal website to hopefully show people they can be independent, start a business with a small cash outlay and a conservative monthly marketing budget and bring in a profit immediately.
Until my next post, I wish you peace, joy, and success in your network marketing or home-based-business.
